One of Alika’s functional areas is to Trade in a wide range of Agricultural commodities, Maize, Sorghum, Millet, and Beans, among others. The company has strong linkages with processors and market information service providers including Regional Agriculture Trade Intelligence Network. National, Regional, and international commodity trade experts. Through these networks we identify market opportunities for targeted crops and establish modalities through which targeted farmers and entrepreneurs/trader can take advantage of such opportunities.

Alika have been retained by a number of regional farmer organizations to provide Market linkage services for their farmers’ produce. ALIKA currently has working arrangements in this area with:

Kaderes Peasant Development PLC (KPD PLC) – Tanzania - Targeting to market and trade 20,000MT of Red Kidney and Yellow Beans in 2021- 2022.
Crossfield Limited –Kenya & Ariel Commodities Ltd –Uganda Alika is facilitating a 1,200MT Soybeans Contract for procurement and delivery from Malawi for Kenya.
Kilimo Trust - Kenya and Uganda - Targeting to Trade 3,000MT of Red Kidney and yellow beans from Kenya in 2021- 2022. Alika will earn minimum 3% commission from these assignments.
Union Service Stores Limited – Tanzania (to manage supply chains on their behalf in Kenya with UNGA LIMITED)
Raphael Group Limited – Tanzania (Provide markets for Rice and Beans to: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, and Zambia).
